Seed Slotter
Invented by a professional greenkeeper, the
Seed Slotter is an excellent tool for any grass seeding application.
It is particularly useful for overseeding worn areas of turf.
The ideal tool for the seed of rye and fescue varieties which
are difficult to place at the right depth. On soft turf, hand
pressure is sufficient to produce slots of the right depth
for the seed to be used. On harder areas, foot pressure may
also be required. The handle is offset so as to allow either
foot to be used. The Seed Slotter is an extremely easy piece
of equipment to use. The soil should be moist enough to allow
easy penetration. After slotting, brush the seeds into the
slots using just enough for one or two seeds per slot. There
is no need to top dress.
